Why Setup Is Half Your Score

Omoggle's AI processes a webcam image. Everything affecting that image affects your score. Community testing shows the same face can score 1.5–2.5 points higher with an optimized setup.

Camera Angle

15–25° above eye level

The gold standard. Emphasizes canthal tilt, compresses lower face, makes cheekbones appear higher. The most impactful single change.

Dead center horizontally

Any offset causes asymmetric landmark detection, lowering your symmetry score.

Lighting

Natural window light at 45°

Best option. Creates dimension that highlights cheekbones and jawline. Not directly in front or behind.

Worst: overhead lighting or screen glow

Creates harsh shadows and unflattering color tint that reads poorly on skin clarity.

Distance and Background

60–80cm distance, face filling 40–60% of frame. Plain dark background reduces visual noise.
