What is Omoggle? (Quick Summary)
Omoggle pairs two random strangers via webcam and uses AI to score both faces on the PSL Scale. The higher scorer wins, earns ELO points, and is declared the "Mogger." The loser is "Mogged." Simple, brutal, addictive — which is why it exploded on Twitch in May 2026. Full background: What is Omoggle?
Step 1: Set Up Your Account
Go to Omoggle.com and allow camera and microphone access. You'll be prompted to complete a camera check — this calibrates the AI scanner to your specific webcam's color profile and lens characteristics. Take this seriously; a poorly calibrated camera check can result in inaccurate scoring throughout your session.
Step 2: Optimize Your Setup Before Playing
This is the step most beginners skip and immediately regret. Before your first match, spend 10 minutes on your setup. Camera angle above eye level, natural side lighting, neutral dark background, and face centered in frame. Full details in our complete camera setup guide and best angle guide.
Step 3: Your First Match
Click "Enter Arena" and you'll be matched with a random opponent. The AI scans both faces for approximately 10 seconds. Keep a neutral, relaxed expression — slight smile is fine. Avoid exaggerated expressions which distort facial landmark measurements. The result appears on screen: one side shows "MOGGER" (winner) and the other "MOGGED" (loser).
Step 4: Understanding Your Score
After each match you see your face score (0–10) and your updated ELO. Your score is recalculated fresh each match — it reflects the current session's AI reading, not a permanent fixed rating. Your ELO, however, accumulates across all matches and determines your position on the global tier list.
5 Tips for Beginners
1. Don't play on a laptop with default settings
Built-in laptop webcams and default camera positioning almost always underperform. Get an external webcam or at minimum raise your laptop so the camera is above your eye level.
2. Play in the morning
Your face is at its best after 8 hours of sleep — less puffiness, better skin tone. Playing after a long day or after drinking alcohol significantly lowers your score.
3. Accept early losses
Most players start in Molecule or Sub3 tier and work up. Your first 10 matches are calibration. Don't adjust your setup mid-session based on early results.
4. Use PSL Scanner mode first
Before competitive play, use Omoggle's solo PSL Scanner to analyze your face without an opponent. This tells you your baseline score and which metrics need improvement.
5. Use our free tool for practice
Our free AI Face Analyzer gives you the same AI scoring as Omoggle without needing to pair with a stranger. Test different camera positions until you find your optimal setup.
