Why Skincare Matters for Your Omoggle Score

Skin clarity is one of the six metrics measured by Omoggle's AI. Clear, even-toned skin with minimal redness, texture, or blemishes scores higher. The good news: this is the most improvable metric, and results show within weeks rather than months.

The 3-Step Core Routine

Step 1: Cleanser (morning + night)

Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser twice daily. Avoid harsh foaming cleansers that strip natural oils — they cause rebound oiliness and redness. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (~$15) is the community standard for beginners.

Step 2: Niacinamide serum (morning)

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) at 10% concentration reduces pore appearance, evens skin tone, and reduces redness — all of which raise your skin clarity score. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (~$8) is highly effective and available everywhere.

Step 3: SPF 50 sunscreen (morning)

UV damage is the number one cause of uneven skin tone and texture. Daily SPF 50 prevents new damage and allows existing damage to fade. EltaMD UV Clear (~$40) is a looksmaxxing community favorite — it's matte, non-comedogenic, and barely visible on all skin tones.

Optional Add-Ons

Retinol (night, 2–3x per week)

Start with a low-concentration retinol (0.025–0.05%) at night to accelerate skin cell turnover. Visible improvements in texture and tone after 8–12 weeks. Expect mild peeling for the first two weeks — this is normal.

Hydrating moisturizer

Apply after serum but before sunscreen. Keeps the skin barrier intact, which reduces redness and improves skin surface quality. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (~$18) is the community default.
